When Patricia reached out to me and told me her and Nathan’s long distance story, I knew I had to be the one to capture their Seattle Courthouse Wedding.
Sho and Kristin's magical fall wedding at SoDo Park!
Volunteer Park Elopement Session // Imani and Nick
Jessica and Tyler take Gold Creek Pond by storm // Seattle Couple Photography
Jessica is a local florist here in Seattle so when she reached out to me about doing an anniversary couple session for her and her husband Tyler, I’ll openly admit I started hyperventilating. With all the connections she has the in the Seattle Wedding Photographer network, she wanted little old me? I was beyond honored and I knew I wanted to get her and Tyler some special photos.
Same Sex Summer Sunset Engagement Session at Seattle's Discovery Park
I met Alex and Trevor at Discovery Park on a warm summer evening right before the Fall rains descended on us. Thankfully we managed to stay dry as we wandered around Discovery Park capturing their love and talking about their relationship.
A beautiful Fall Washington Arboretum Elopement // Chelsea and Matt
Chelsea and Matt flew all the way into Washington to elope on the Washington Coast and then decided they could not wait a few days more to be married and so they hired me to capture their beautiful Washington Arboretum elopement on a beautiful Fall morning.
Long Distance Romance Engagement Session // Seattle Wedding Photographer
Jeep Filled Brown Family Homestead Wedding // Jess and Caroline
When Jess and Caroline asked if they could incorporate their Jeeps into their engagement session because down the line they were going to be a part of their wedding day, I knew their wedding day was going to be great! Not only was the engagement session awesome but their wedding took place at one of my favorite venues in all of Washington: Brown Family Homestead!
Spring into a Twin Willow Gardens Wedding // Kaytlyn and Ben
Mukilteo Backyard Wedding // Cherie & Howie
Backyard weddings really became a thing in 2020 thanks to COVID and it seemed like a lot of people were having them as a sort of compromise, a backup plan. But Cherie & Howie planned their wedding day to be small and intimate from the beginning so it being in their gorgeous backyard didn’t impact it much at all!
Intimate Chism Beach Wedding // Dug and Kerry
Dug & Kerry chose to host their wedding in a local Bellevue park so that all their friends could attend within the restrictions in place. They had custom masks made for all of their guests and individually boxed cupcakes available for guests to take home with them! They were so respectful of their guests while trying to keep a sense of normalcy for their big day.
Kerry Park Engagement Session // Dani & Michelle
Dani & Michelle were supposed to be married by now but thanks to that thing they chose to reschedule to 2021, and then 2022 so they could have the wedding they wanted to. But since so much time had passed since their first engagement session, they decided to do a second engagement session at Kerry Park so that their final wedding invitations could include their newest family member!
Sunkissed Carkeek Park Engagement Session // Karissa + Logan
I first met Karissa and Logan back in 2019 at Karissa’s sister Kayla’s wedding that I captured. A few months after Kayla & Tanner said I Do, Karissa reached out to me to see if I could capture her wedding, of course I said yes! Unfortunately then 2020 got in the way and they had to postpone their wedding but we still wanted to capture their engagement session while we were having the beautiful fall weather we had last year.
Lakeside Yelm Couple Session // Mike & Josh
I was originally set to capture Mike & Josh’s wedding in September in Tacoma but then 2020 happened and they decided to forego a wedding and elope just themselves in Vegas. I wasn’t able to get there due to travel restrictions but they decided they still wanted to do couple photos here at their new home in Yelm
Beautiful Backyard Wedding // Jay & Josh
I think many people would have a Debbie downer of a day if they had to downsize their wedding due to COVID and then days before it had to downsize again because of wildfires. But you’d never have known that the wedding they had was anything but their original plan if you saw Jay & Josh’s faces on their wedding day. The entire day they both had smiles plastered on their faces and let nothing get them down.
Seattle Sunset Elopement // Marjorie and David
Marjorie and David were originally supposed to get married on June 20 with all their family & friends, but then COVID happened. I feel like I could just copy & paste that for all my blog posts the next few months. It sounds like they were downsizing but actually the day of, it seemed like the most natural thing in the world for it to be just the two of them speaking their truths to each other.
My top outdoor wedding venues in Washington
Here in Washington we are lucky enough to be surrounded by beautiful scenery and luckily some smart people thought to build wedding venues in amongst them! In Washington the outdoor wedding season usually lasts from July to October sometime and mostly we are blessed with good weather that allows people to get married outdoors in amongst all that beauty. Here’s my top three outdoor wedding venues in Washington state.
Should you have a first look on your wedding day?
Richmond Beach Saltwater Park Engagement Session // Dani and Michelle
Salish Lodge Wedding // Jordan and Eric
Jordan and Eric came all the way from Texas to marry in our beautiful corner of the world. They chose Salish Lodge as the venue for their ceremony and reception. Beforehand I met Jordan and Eric at their hotel to get some getting ready photos before heading to the hotel for their beautiful ceremony. At a spot right next to the gorgeous Snoqualmie Falls Jordan and Eric said their I Do’s in front of their closest family.
