Marjorie and David were originally supposed to get married on June 20 with all their family & friends, but then COVID happened. I feel like I could just copy & paste that for all my blog posts the next few months. It sounds like they were downsizing but actually the day of, it seemed like the most natural thing in the world for it to be just the two of them speaking their truths to each other.
We started the evening at Carkeek Park, which I discovered had its parking lot closed so we had a bit of a hike in and then I made the poor couple hike all over Carkeek Park for the best photo spots. Luckily they got to have a bit of a breather while we drove from Carkeek Park to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park for the sunset. Thankfully that parks car park was open so we didn’t have to hike all over. Being the solstice it was the longest day of the year and it lived up to it with the sun not dipping behind the Olympics until after 9pm.
So while we waited for that, M & D said their vows to each other. There was laughs, tears and lots of hugging and kissing and it was perfect.
