Pacifica & Evan’s wedding day out near Leavenworth at the Mountain Springs Lodge was a winter wedding wonderland.
I started the day with Pacifica getting ready for her wedding day with her Mom Maid of Honor & Grandma. Pacifica wore a simple yet stunning wedding dress with a lace back. Once she had completed her hair & make up and put on her wedding dress, we headed outdoors for their first look.
I set up Evan on what I later learned was the cross country ski track (oops) and they were very pleasantly surprised by Pacifica’s wedding attire. After letting them have a quiet moment together we headed off around Mountain Springs Lodge’s grounds to take some couple portraits.
Before we got too cold though we headed inside to warm up before heading out again for family and friends photos. Pacifica & Evan both have small families so that didn’t take too long but you could see how excited each person was to be their for their wedding. It was lovely to see.
Then it was time for the main event! And not a moment too soon as the sun was starting to set. Thankfully it held out long enough for us to get some beautiful photos. Evan and Pacifica opted for a handfasting ceremony over an exchange of rings and they had three important people come up each with a piece of material that was wrapped in a way that when it was time and they were officially married they pulled apart their hands and it formed a knot!
Once they said they’re I Do Evan and Pacifica headed off on a short sleigh ride while all the guests made their way over to the reception area. After having their big re-entrance as a married couple and saying hello to their guests dinner was served buffet style.
After everyone had eaten their fill it was time to watch the happy couple share their first dance and then they had a couple of family dances before the dancefloor was opened up while the live band played. Cake cutting was the next order of the day and after that I dragged the couple outside for some star photos which was something I’ve always wanted to do at a wedding!
Then it was time for me to say my goodbyes and leave the couple to dance away with their nearest and dearest on their wedding night.
