Best of 2016: Weddings

I only decided I was going to start doing weddings proper at the beginning of 2016. If I'm being honest, they terrified me but I figured face my fears and all that and this year I had a blast shooting weddings. I can't wait to shoot more and I'm annoyed I didn't start earlier. All my weddings this year were perfect for my photography style, low key and laid back with confident brides with killer dresses. Rachel's dress in Chicago was especially stunning with all its intricate lacework.

Location wise I think my favorite shooting wedding was Keiley's up by Arlington, WA. An all outdoor wedding they placed a lot of faith in the weather, but mother nature came through for them! It was warm but not stifling all day and the clouds rolled in just as the ceremony started to give the guests some respite from the sun on the exposed mountaintop.

My favorite wedding for people has to of course go to my Dad and Stepmum's because all the guests were my family! But seriously, it was so generous of them to trust me with their big day. It's nerve wracking shooting for family but I think I came through for them.

I'm excited to see what my best of 2017 post will look like next year!
