Last night I had the pleasure of spending some time with the beautiful Mika who is waiting for her forever home. Adoptable through Forgotten Dogs Rescue, she is just the sweetest pup!

One of the things I wanted to do to honor my pup Kirby who passed away last year was to work with a rescue organisation in his name. To that end I've been working with Forgotten Dogs Rescue for the past six months, attending their adoption events and also doing one on one portrait sessions with some of their pups.

One of the things I said I'd do in my quest to "be the person your dog thinks you are" is to volunteer with a local shelter or rescue. When we were in touch about adopting a dog from them I also asked Forgotten Dogs Rescue if they needed any photography, since I don't have a whole lot of their skills to offer.
