Molly and Kenji’s engagement session at Carkeek Park could not have asked for better late summer weather if it had tried. The temperature was just right for walking around but not hot enough to draw everyone else to the park as well.

When I met Rachel & Trent for their consult we grabbed coffee outside at a coffee shop and we ended up talking for almost four hours and Rachel & I ended up with sunburn (Trent was smart and sat in the shade) but that should tell you something about how well I get on with these two.
Sunkissed Carkeek Park Engagement Session // Karissa + Logan
I first met Karissa and Logan back in 2019 at Karissa’s sister Kayla’s wedding that I captured. A few months after Kayla & Tanner said I Do, Karissa reached out to me to see if I could capture her wedding, of course I said yes! Unfortunately then 2020 got in the way and they had to postpone their wedding but we still wanted to capture their engagement session while we were having the beautiful fall weather we had last year.

Jordan & Greg got married last summer over at the Brightwater Education Center and I loved capturing their love. So when they reached out and asked if I was free to do some family photos, I immediately said yes.

Marjorie and David were originally supposed to get married on June 20 with all their family & friends, but then COVID happened. I feel like I could just copy & paste that for all my blog posts the next few months. It sounds like they were downsizing but actually the day of, it seemed like the most natural thing in the world for it to be just the two of them speaking their truths to each other.

Why you should make time for sunset photos on your wedding day
I’m a wedding photographer so I’m always going to push for the maximum time spent with you on your day getting you beautiful, candid wedding photos. But I also know your wedding day isn’t all about me. So the one time of day I really push for getting photos (other than the first look which you should read all about here) is sunset photos.

Although they technically eloped in the morning in a private ceremony, Anna & Eric wanted to do photos just the two of them in the evening, as the sun went down on their first day as a married couple. I of course said yes we should do that.
